Ok I decided to go ahead and post some progression pix for those of you who have not seen me in many months! I am in week 32 now so even bigger than the 30 week picture.

2 months to go....

I have been terrible about updating this blog, so figured I would at least let everyone who reads this (not sure who still follows this blog!) that things are going well. I am almost 31 weeks pregnant, and feels like we are in the home stretch. Summer heat is setting in big time, plus i already feel 20 degrees hotter than normal, so you can imagine how it is going for me!

The News

Ok! The news you have all been waiting for (or already know by now)..... The reason I am not racing (or really riding) in 2009 is that I am due September 27th with our first child! I am almost through my 15th week, hopefully getting past the nausea (uggggghhhh) but def experiencing all sorts of other symptoms. Learning something new everyday (am I really cut out for this?)

Anyhow! I will post updates from time to time, but it won't be about racing or riding (unless it's about someone else's race or ride)! I have taken up walking, snowshoeing (when we are in Mammoth, since I can't snowboard), and hopefully will get back on some sort of weight training routine and really I am just getting alot of rest. 

Maybe I will post a belly pic, but i dunno.... ;o)

I will try my best to get out to the local races to cheer everyone on and keep you all posted on my progress!

Off the grid

ok... I know i have not updated this blog in almost 2 months! I am thinking about retiring it soon, but we will see. maybe it will come back to life soon, but figured I would at least post SOMETHING so people know I am still alive and kickin'!

Went to watch everyone race at UC Cup - Bonelli Park today. I was in a different role today, feedzone/support, while everyone else raced. Was fun to watch, sad to not be racing, but enjoyed being there to talk with people and feed Joy and Matt. It was also great to see everyone, and I am looking forward to seeing everyone at Fontana in 3 weeks.

We are working on getting a new laptop for home so I might be able to start updating this more often!

Yes I have been slacking big time on my blog. Just been busy doing a variety of things (in addition to working) such as:

* Hawaii vacation (Kauai and Big Island)
*Some more cross racing (Nats and SoCalCross)
*Work trip to St Louis
*Christmas here in Cali (Redlands and Palm Springs)
*New Year's Eve party (uff da! overdid it again!)
*First weekend in Mammoth for the season (nice snow!)
*Yoga (my new favorite activity)
*Finally saw WALL-E (My new favorite movie!)

This weekend: Palm Springs Film Fest !

What a Concept!

I have actually been riding quite a bit lately.. and it seems to make a difference. Who would have thought ;o). And..it's been fun and not stressful and doesn't feel like *work*. Like I said in my title.. What a Concept.

Had a blast racing CX this past weekend at Irvine Lake (with a decent result on Sunday..ahhh like the olden days). Best part was the post-race beers on Sunday (in a PINT GLASS... that I got to keep.. for $2!) 3 beers and no food later it was a good thing Matt was driving us home. I also had to make sure Dot rewarded herself for all of her hard work organizing and had a few beers too :o) Almost all of the peeps except for Joy and Cpop were around for at least some part of the weekend. Even Trevor was there!

In other news... in 2 days me and the Mister are off to:

Kauai

From what I hear, it's a nice place to go on holiday... I will have to be the judge of that... ;o) Maybe I will get a tan (or a burn?) Yes I seems I am probably one of the only people (other than Greg) who has never visitited any part of the Hawaiian Islands before.
